La Puente E-waste

La Puente was known for its fruit and walnut groves in the 1930s and later on became home of the largest walnut packing plant in this part of the country. While the city is now heavily urbanized, it has managed to preserve several historical landmarks like the Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum. The city also continues to operate its 1950s-era strip malls.

People who value their history also value the need to preserve this. Members of the La Puente Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church have taken the lead in ensuring the preservation of the city’s landmarks by organizing an e-waste collection event. Church members are asking city residents to come visit their collection event and donate their used and obsolete electronics.

Experts say that E-wastes contain hazardous lead and mercury that can harm humans and the environment. But lead contamination can be avoided with the proper disposal of our end of life electronics. If uncertain where to bring these, come to our collection event that we will gladly take care of these e-wastes for you.

La Puente Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church and All Green Electronics Recycling have teamed up to host an event to help you get rid of them responsibly–absolutely free of charge! Members of the community and businesses are encouraged to clean out their garage or attic and donate their old electronics to a good cause. Bring all of your old electronics to the event, including, but not limited to: computers, monitors, televisions, printers, mobile phones, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, microwaves, calculators, iPods, cables and wires, telephones, fax machines, scanners, computer parts, and more. All Green Electronics Recycling promises to recycle everything it accepts in North America and to never send electronics to a landfill or overseas for processing. Certified Data Destruction is available for a small fee at all of our events.
