It is important that children will learn about recycling and the effects of e-wastes in the environment. According to Psychology Today, habits in children take root by the age of nine. So make sure that before they are nine, they already know the importance of recycling—more importantly, they practice recycling. You can start by teaching children to recycle their toys and donate old ones to orphanages. This way, a habit of recycling forms.

So when children retire their toys in exchange for gadgets, they already have a habit of being more conscientious about disposal. They already have an idea that when electronics are already old, these can either be donated or sent to a recycling facility like All Green Electronics Recycling.

There are organizations that are already doing their part by introducing a recycling event to its members in this area. Such organizations are committed to collect electronic wastes from residents and to have these recycled and reused.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore – Chatsworth and All Green Electronics Recycling have teamed up to host an event to help you get rid of them responsibly–absolutely free of charge! Members of the community and businesses are encouraged to clean out their garage or attic and donate their old electronics to a good cause. Bring all of your old electronics to the event, including, but not limited to: computers, monitors, televisions, printers, mobile phones, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, microwaves, calculators, iPods, cables and wires, telephones, fax machines, scanners, computer parts, and more. All Green Electronics Recycling promises to recycle everything it accepts in North America and to never send electronics to a landfill or overseas for processing. Certified Data Destruction is available for a small fee at all of our events.
