Owning the news electronics model is a temptation that we can barely resist. It is always comforting and convenient to own the newest television models and have these on display in our homes. Every time that we get a new model, our old ones often end up in our garages or attics. A study made in 2007 show that televisions, computers and monitors are among the most common kinds of electronic wastes found in every American home. Only a very small percentage of our junks end up in recycling facilities.
Probably lack of time or our lack of awareness on what to do with these wastes is keeping us from turning these over to recyclers for proper disposal. In Redlands City, California, the
Redlands Academy is organizing an electronics collection event for our convenience. We no longer have to travel far to dispose our e-wastes. All that we have to do is to visit the collection event and donate our junks. By doing so, we get to clean our garages of unwanted wastes and at the same time, we also get to protect our families from the ill effects of a possible exposure to its toxic contents.
Come visit our recycling event and we will be glad to serve you.
