Gardena E-Waste

Gardena City that is located in the southwestern region of Los Angeles County has the largest concentration of Japanese-American citizens in the country. The city’s population grew from 57,746 in 2000 to 58, 829 in the 2010 census. Based on data from the US Census Bureau, the city has an area of 5.9 square miles. About 9.4 acres of its land area is a wetland preserved called Gardena Willows Wetland Preserve that is hosts to different tree species and other vegetation.

Environmental preservation is a responsibility that should be shared by all city residents. The simple act of sending our old electronics to a recycling facility will go a long way. It will not only rid our homes or offices of clatter but at the same time ensure that its toxic contents do not pollute the environment. Recycling will have a bigger impact for our earth if this becomes a shared responsibility by all.

The Kimco – Gardena Electronics Recycling Fundraiser is spearheading collection event to teach Gardena residents the importance of responsible E-waste disposal. Feel free to visit our event!
