R2 CERTIFIED CRT MONITOR RECYCLING
All Green is R2 Certified ** as a responsible recycler by a third party certification body. All Green has the highest standards with policies for managing used and end-of-life electronics equipment, components and materials based on strategies such as reuse, materials and energy recovery and/or disposal. All Green is also audited regularly to ensure the highest possible standards for data destruction, security and a commitment to responsible e-waste recycling.
PERSONALIZED CRT MONITOR RECYCLING METHOD
We offer crt monitor disposal. We work with companies in order to figure out how best to recycle each piece of machinery. Whether we utilize a program that can recover precious metals, or implement a strategy to repurpose and reuse old machinery, the solution that we choose with you will save the most time and money, while still being the best for the environment.
COST SAVINGS AND CONVENIENCE
Instead of forcing you to pay heavy costs to ship your CRT monitors to an external recycling service, we operate our own trucks. Available 24-7, our trucks make up the largest IT recycling fleet in the U.S. We can pack, label, and ship out the recycled equipment for you, saving you valuable time and money. We are more than willing to work around your schedule – our fleet can arrive exactly when you would like us to. The shipments are traceable using an online system, just like any modern delivery service.
DATA SAFETY AND REMOVAL
We know that you, as IT professionals, may have secure data on the machines that are being recycled with your CRT monitors. We are up to international standards, and exceed them in most cases, for data safety and removal protocols. Our business holds the ISO 14001 certification, as well as other certificates that demonstrate our high level of dedication to security and ethical procedures. Unlike other companies, we want to ensure that you, the customer, receive the best service and protection – and that extends to our data policies.
REGULATIONS AND YOU
We know that, typically, IT equipment recycling is not a fun or sexy process. However, safe and secure recycling is becoming a necessity for more and more businesses that handle personal data or other critically important data. We can protect you, and your customers, with our excellent standards and record of safety. We meet, exceed, and surpass all regulations for data safety and recycling. Your business can only stand to gain by working with us, now and in the coming years.
HOW TO RECYCLE A CRT MONITOR
Do you still have an old television set or computer monitor lying around the house that you need to dispose of? It may be tempting to just leave it curbside on your garbage collection day, but that is the last thing you should do (and in fact, your town’s trash collectors will refuse to take it.)
What’s in a CRT Monitor?
Older TVs and computer monitors usually contain a cathode ray tube (CRT) that makes them tricky (and heavy!) to dispose of. That’s because the tube is comprised of leaded glass and other parts are sometimes fused together with lead oxide paste, which means a CRT must be carefully dismantled and recycled by an electronics recycling expert to prevent it from causing environmental harm. (Lead was a necessary component to protect users from X-ray exposure.) Color and monochrome CRTs have also been known to contain cadmium, which is toxic.
Why Recycle CRT Monitors?
For these reasons, electronic waste containing CRTs was officially banned by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from U.S. trash landfills in 2001, where lead from broken down CRTs can leach into soil and water sources. There are other benefits from recycling CRTs besides preventing harm to the environment.
For computer monitors, components such as the circuit board and cone (an electromagnet that carries electrons to the tube) contain copper and scrap metals that can be salvaged for new uses. The lead glass that is collected from CRTs is often melted down, separated, and finds its way into road construction projects.
We Make CRT Monitor Recycling Simple
Fortunately the manufacturing of TVs and computer monitors featuring CRTs has dropped dramatically ever since the EPA’s ruling and today’s flat screen sets provide a superior viewing experience and take up less space. But if you still have a CRT TV or computer monitor taking up space, we provide two easy, worry-free ways for you to recycle it safely.
You can arrange for us to pick it up at your residence at your convenience (we’re used to lifting those heavy, old TV sets), or you may drop it off at one of our national pick-up locations. As an ethical electronics recycling company, we pledge that we dismantle and recycle e-waste according to the EPA’s guidelines, and we never ship parts out of the U.S. where they can end up in a third world landfill. Repairable products are fixed for reuse, and materials to be recycled are transported by secure storage.
As a transparent company, you’ll also be provided with tracking information so you can view the status of your recycled item on our website and find out which components are going to good use. In many cases, customers are reimbursed for the materials and parts salvaged from our CRT recycling. Use All Green’s CRT Monitor recycling services to recycle your old CRT TV or monitor the safe way. Call us today to arrange a pick-up appointment, or find out which drop-off locations are near you.
