Can Better Packaging Save the Planet?

We’ve all been there: You buy a new gadget and you have to fight your way through layers of plastic, Styrofoam, and cardboard to get to it.

Not only is this frustrating, but it is also bad for the planet. Changing the depth by a half-inch and redesigning the packaging on a single product might be the equivalent of saving 28,027 gallons of gasoline.
