Canadian Cement Plant Becomes First to Capture CO2 in Algae

It looks like creating cement contributes up to 5% of carbon emissions in our atmosphere. Fortunately, a Canadian based company Pond Biofuels has teamed up with a cement factory to capture emitted CO2 and to convert it into bio fuels.

The company owner said, “To resolve the problem you have to have an industrial solution, not a laboratory solution.” This is entirely true. If this process can save industrial companies money, then it could be a huge success.
