Newport Beach E-Waste
This seaside city located in Orange County, California is home to 85, 287 city residents and the Newport Harbor that was created from the dredging of the Newport Bat estuary in the 1900s. Its harbor once supported maritime industries to include shipbuilding, boatbuilding and commercial fishing.
At present, the area is mostly used for recreation. Its shores are now occupied by private docks and homes. The harbor that is considered as one of the largest recreational harbors in the West Coast became a popular destination for boating activities, sailing, fishing, rowing, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Beach lovers started coming to the city since the completion of the Pacific Electric Railway in 1905.
Imagine swimming in a polluted beach. Imagine pollutants covering the water’s surface while you fish. This kind of a scenario is not far from happening if we do not take care of our beach. Surterre Properties is taking the lead in helping save our beach. We are organizing an e-waste recycling fundraiser to make sure that its toxic contents do not pollute our waters.
