According to a report, the world discarded over 40 million metric tons of electronic wastes or e-waste in 2014. But only 16 percent of the wastes were disposed of ecologically as determined by the government. This is a surprising statistics considering how easy it is to recycle e-wastes. In the case of this country, e-wastes are usually sent to recycling facilities like All Green Electronics Recycling. The company will then be responsible for extracting metallic compounds in the electronics so these can be reused.
The actual electronic may be disposed of through shredding. This serves two purposes—for one, the items will become so small and light. The other purpose is to make it impossible for other people to retrieve information from the discarded electronic. There are wily individuals out there who are willing to sell information to some rotten individuals. This is why data destruction and shredding are important aspect of the holistic e-waste recycling.
