Upcycle with All Green Electronics Recycling

There are many ways to recycle electronic devices. But the regular concept of recycling is just to send electronic wastes to a recycling facility and allow the recycler to do the activity. But there are creative ways to recycle at home—this is called upcycle.

So your refrigerator is no longer working, and having it fixed is almost the same price as buying another one. So you chose to buy another one. What are you supposed to do with the old one? Upcycle! Refrigerators have the makings of a great cabinet. It has a door, which means storage. And it has compartments that allow several things of different sizes to fit into it.

There was this great idea from the website Make Use Of that repurposed the motherboard of an old desktop computer. It was repainted with the screen removed and the insides cleared out. With a cushion and some homey balls, the old motherboard is now a cat’s sleeping area.

Members of the community and businesses are encouraged to clean out their garage or attic and donate their old electronics to a good cause. Bring all of your old electronics to the event, including, but not limited to: computers, monitors, televisions, printers, mobile phones, laptops, DVD players, VCRs, microwaves, calculators, iPods, cables and wires, telephones, fax machines, scanners, computer parts, and more. All Green Electronics Recycling promises to recycle everything it accepts in North America and to never send electronics to a landfill or overseas for processing.
