Ventura E-waste

A computer unit or even a cellphone unit does not look dangerous at all at first glance. But if you take a closer look at its components, you will get to realize that these gadgets contain substances that can cause harm to its users and the environment. Electronic products contain chemical compounds, heavy metals and semi-metals that can leak into the soil and cause harm to the environment if they break. Most of these electronic equipment contain lead, mercury, copper, barium, nickel and arsenic that causes cancer and organ failure among others.

Studies show that children are most vulnerable to the health risks that may result from constant E-waste exposure. This could result to damages on their central nervous, immune, reproductive and digestive systems that are still in the development stage. But risk can be reduced with proper E-waste recycling.

Help protect the health of your children by ensuring the proper disposal of your E-wastes. Support Mound Elementary School’s Electronics Recycling event! The life that you get to save with proper E-waste disposal could be that of your beloved child.  Visit our free electronics recycling event.
