New York E-waste Law Goes Into Effect

New Yorkers no longer have to pay to recycle their old electronics. On April 1, 2011, the Electronic Equipment Recycling and Reuse Act went into effect. According to this law, manufacturers are required to take back old electronics free of charge, regardless of the brand. The products must then be either reused or recycled, and none of the electronics can end up in landfills or hazardous waste sites. We applaud New York for going All Green, and look forward to recycling there in the future.
